wow- i haven't been on this for a while. I've spent most of my time at Qualicum and because i had so little to do, i was less inclined to do more!
I'm just back from a swim with the Masters- it was a great work out. I asked Leanne for some stretches first: She showed me arm swings, figure 8's, wave behind my head to stretch my back, and then arm circles 1 each way then 2 each way. great.
200m choice
6 x 50 m kick
3 x 100 (50 drill, 50 swim)
2 x 150 swim
1 x 300
2 x 150 swim
3 x 100 (50 drill 50 swim)
6 x 50 kick
100 easy
4 x 12.5 scull/12.5 swim
600 m swim (100 back 400 free 100 kick)
= 3000metres
I now have my trainer- and I'd love to get going- but i'm just going to have to sit patiently. I'll do some yoga instead. and my phsio work
Friday: COMMONWEALTH POOL: great facility- I was swimming in the dive tank and loved it!
- 1 hour at the gym: phys/ core/ upper body
- Workout 1 in the pool
I had physio again- my knee's better- but my SI Joint is still a bit loosey goosey. He said to go 50% effor this week. I honestly don't know if I can do that- sometimes I think that slowing down can cause more injury. I can do around 75% though. He gave me needles. I almost can handle them now... strange weird ew.
THURSDAY: X-COUNTRY SKI AT MT. Washington!
Yahoo- this was awesome! I was totally into it- I met up with 2 Québecoises, they were so nice and it was fun to be speaking french again. I put in 12 km.
Ohysio (1hour)
Wed. : EASY: core and physio SWIM: I couldn't help it- I missed the pool! I just did the Total Immersion excercises and then 600m freestyle.
Tues: Easy: core and phys
Mon. Easy core and phys
Christmas- Ate too much food!
Speaking of diet- this week spun me for a loop- all the sugar i think is messin' with my biochemistry and I'm so wound up i can't sleep!
